Difference of Opinion

So today on facebook I posted that it was "National Clean Off your Desk Day."    I decided that not only would I participate but I would also post before and after pictures of my office.   Before I even had the chance to do so, another agent in my office posted on my wall that he has seen my desk and it would definitely take me more than a day to clean my desk - maybe all week!   Ok - so I was mildly offended.   I mean my desk is often cluttered, but it is not terrible.  Of course this is just my opinion.    Obviously, his opinion was that a National Disaster Area should be designated around my office.     His comment motivitated me even more to post my before and after pictures.    I am sharing them with you also.    I was happy when comments start flooding in that my desk was really not that bad in the before pictures.   A lot of people commented that they wish their after pictures looked like my before pictures.     Of course, this reminded me that everyone has different opinions.  This is something that sellers need to keep in mind when looking at different feedback remarks from showings on their home.     You are going to get a WIDE range of opinions on the positives and negatives of your home.  The key is to look for PATTERNS!  Is there one comment being mentioned over and over and over again.   If that is the case you should try to resolve the issue.  If there is a random comment here or there about something - I would not worry too much about it.     So keeping this advice in mind (since it is my advice it is relatively easy to do) I determine that most people didn't think my office was terrible and just one agent in my office feels it is a dump!  What do you think?  (First two are before pictures and Second Two are the after pictures.)Before Picture      Before Picture

Looks great to me. Some of the most successful people I know have desks that make your before pictures look spotless.

Wow, if your co-worker thinks that your before picture was a natural disaster then their head would probably be floored if they saw mine!

Your desk wasn't that bad as the other person tried to make it out to be. They're probably just jealous.

Your before and after pictures are both pretty good! You may have just inspired me to do a little winter cleaning.

Well done!  It's amazing how much more clearly the brain works when it is not distracted by clutter.
