Realtors please stop making excuses about pricing.......

I'm so tired of hearing Realtors defend their over priced listings by saying things like..........I had no control over the pricing, it was the sellers decision..........they wouldn't listen to my price recommendation..................I can't get them to agree to reduce the price....blah, blah blah, blah blah.

Folks let me break it to you..........you have the ultimate control over the price of your listing if it is too high.........cancel, fire yourself, opt out, what ever term you use in what ever state you practice in. But Idigress .......it never should have gotten that far.......you need to be proactive! No one (that I know of, so excuse me if this is the case for you) is holding a gun to your head at your listing presentations. If you see that the seller is not understanding the market no matter how you are explaining it.........DON'T TAKE THE LISTING.

Now is that simple or what? And it's not even a new concept (or mine for that matter) that is closely held by only a few who know the secret hand shake. There is also good karma involved with this, because maybe, just maybe.........your seller will realize that if a Realtor is willing to walk without taking the listing because they stand by their opinion of over pricing........it is over priced! They might even adjust there expectations to a more realistic level, list their home with you and sell it.........what a concept........what karma!

So from me to you.............here are your walking papers.
