QR Code Advertising...

Hey Everybody,

I've been adding QR Codes to most of my marketing over the last couple months.  Today, I ordered business cards from the good folks at Beyondee with QR Codes on the back.  Have any of you done this or had any success with it?

How have you used QR Codes for real estate sales?

Thanks for your feedback!!  It is much appreciated!

-Bill

I'm still waiting to see if this concept really takes off. In theory, it sounds like a good idea.

Trends are changing, Bill. So, I'd say, right move of having QR on business cards.

I will be ordering cards soon and will likely add it. I don't know that using it on other marketing has made an impact...yet.

I'm not seeing this taking hold in our industry.  Others yes (the codes were actually created for car parts? which makes perfect sense)... ours... not so optimistic.  I'll wait.

Bill,

I'm not sure about this new buzz either, but time will tell. In the meantime, you haven't really taken much of a gamble by having you cards printed that way. I made a few sheets of labels and stuck them on the back of my business cards - just in case. ;-)

Bill,

We have moved our office this week and I need to order new cards.  I am considering adding two or three QR Codes to the back.

Choices, choices, which should I add?  Probably 1 and 3 below depending on how small they will be and still be scannable:

Contact information, for sure
Map to new office
Link to web site.
Personal introductory video link

David, Praful and Michelle - QR Codes certainly are not going to make a fundamental shift in the way we do business, however the way I see it is that the Smartphones will make a fundamental shift in our business.  Customers are able to get the infromation while standing in front of a house into their phones and they will do it regardless of how well we help them.  However, I believe that making it easy for them to get to the information will prove to be good customer service.

Cameron and John - I agree with John, it isn't that much of an investment.  I think it cost me an extra $30 on an order of 2,500 business cards to put the info on the back.  The QR Code I'm using is mostly a link to a sort of on-line business card that has everything clickable.  People can get to my web-site, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, e-mail, phone, etc...  The basic purpose of a business card, but for modern times.

Mike - I think putting 3 QR Codes on the back of a business card would be confusing.  However, there is no reason why the page you link to from the one QR Code you do put on the back of your card does not have all of that information and more.  You just have to build a QR Code destination page with the information displayed well for people using smart phones....  Quick to download, narrow, clean, simple and neat...  (Scan the QR Code that I used in the article for an example of what I mean...)  Great idea for the map to the office, I may integrate that into my destination page.

Thanks to all of you for the great input!!  Please keep it coming!!

Agreed, Bill,

You use the code well.

When I say "Map to my office," I actually mean a QR Code that pops coordinates straight to the phone's GPS in a couple of clicks.  It is pretty good use of a code.

Regardless, your QR Code is very good, and I will probably do something similar to offer a lot of information in one scan.
