Has anyone seen my good friend -- $20,000 -- for a Short Sale ? Sign of the Time !

This past week as we were working on our short sale transactions, we found a lien holder with a new twist. The lien holder offered the owner , the seller, a $20,000 bonus for cooperating with the short sale. Now this is not on a million dollar home, it was on a $300,000 home.

It has been my prediction that the Short Sale process would replace the typical foreclosure. The lein holders are incurring losses due to legal - foreclosure issues. In the short sale process all parties work towards a common goal, a closing... imagine that ?

We have found short sales to a be a win -win -win situation. It appears the lien holders are finally in agreement. This Seller bonus is a strong indiactior of the many short sales to come.

If you do know some one going a through a financially difficult time, there is hope. Are they troubled with the thought of losing their home in a foreclosure.? There are many questions that may be going through a home owners mind in this situation.

There is hope.. A Short Sale !!!

That's a nice perk for a seller who otherwise would walk away with nothing.  If it gets the process along faster, it's a win-win.

That certainly is a motivated lien holder.  I'm sending up a prayer to the short sale gods - forget the 20Gs, just grace us all with some more motivated lien holders!
