something worth looking at.
It originally came on the market in December 2009 for $4,950,000, and is now listed for $2,375,000. The land is zoned for residential (R-1) with no commercial or multi-use allowed, and according to the listing agent, it would appear that the village of Northfield would approve at least 4 homes on the property. One small corner of the land is in the flood zone.
The dimensions are 586 x 283 and the taxes are $35,294.
Those of us who reside on the North Shore are sad to see that Hibbard Road Gardens is being sold, but the owner is elderly with no buyers for the business. The location is minutes from the Edens Expressway, and a short drive to downtown. The forest preserves are across the street, and the surrounding area is residential.
