Well, we are in the Northern Nashville area of Sumner County and enjoying the Winter Wonderland. The only hard part of being in Real Estate with 3 young boys in the South is when it snows...they are out of school for three days! I'm addicted to HGTV which was my first job as a production manager for HGTV.com out of college. It is located in Knoxville, TN and I was a graduate of UT in marketing and advertising. Who would have known I would still have a love affair with a television network 12 years later! Although I've always loved painting, I think today is the day I will try my hand at a "David Bromstad HGTV Color Splash" original. I've ran all my hot list searches for prospective buyers, contacted my clients, followed up on some lead generating, scheduled a showing and even re-read Shift by Gary Keller today so I'm going to take some time to enjoy myself and paint with the kids! This is why I love Real Estate! Sunday I came home from showing houses in the freezing cold where none of them had heat and my toes were frozen but I've been able to get all my work done and do some New Year's Planning from home today. God first, Family Second and an Amazing Career to top it all off! If the art is not too embarrassing I will post it later! Take time to contemplate on your blessings and goals if your stuck in the house on these snowy days. Hopefully new clients are searching online and findng my listings today with their extra time. I know Snow Days with the Kids won't last forever. I made precious memories as a kid in the snow and want to savor every moment of it with my boys today. There is probably some Michael Jackson Wii dancing in my future tonight as well!

We are awaiting the snow here in the northeast so I can relate. Unfortunately it's not all fun and games since I am the one responsible for the shoveling:) But with the kids home from school it is a great time to have a warm meal and some silly fun. Let it snow !!

We know TN is the Volunteer State so maybe that's why my roots are deep in this area. I have the tendency to over-volunteer. Right now I'm trying to build my business, work on my real estate transactions, line up vendor booths for the Hendersonville Christmas Parade, get corporate sponsors for Jack Anderson Elementary School Carnival, support local charities and honestly I'm a little relieved my year of teaching 4 yr old's on Sunday mornings is now over. Did I mention I have 3 boys under the age of 8?
I am thankful for all the relationships I've made over the years of being room mom and this and that...many of these connections have become clients which resulted in transactions...which has allowed me to pay for my family's Disney World trip coming up this Fall. The joy on my boys' faces will be worth all the ideas and business swarming in my head like a wind storm most days.
I guess the bottom line is...Do what you love...give what you can...live to the fullest.
Hendersonville was named as one of the top 10 cities in the United States for families in 2009.
The Sumner County community made Family Circle Magazine's top 10 list. Cities were chosen based on affordable housing, good neighbors, green spaces and great public schools.
The list examined cities with affordable housing, green space and schools.
The magazine noted Hendersonville's friendly residents - who tend to look out for each other.
"There is a neighborly affection in Hendersonville where we all look out for one another. We work for the common good and take tremendous pride in the city we all love," said Don Long, Director of Economic and Community Development.
