Professional Emails

Mortgage and Lending with Fairway Independent Mortgage

Ealier I posted about Jing and Dropbox as great tools and resources to help come across more professional to clients.  My focus this year is to step up my presentation skills and learn more about the technology out there that can help.

My latest discovery is a way to clean up emails if you are sharing links.  Many times links can be very long and appear as a string of junk.  The long links get caught up in spam filters, people are leary of clicking on them, and they can make an email look less than professional.

Check out this great resource to shorten links. If you are sending emails to clients and cutting an pasting links to share - this may be a resource you want to check into.

  Welcome to bitly.Pro

I would love to know more about programs you may be using that have "stepped up" your presenting to clients.  My favorite is still Jing though!  Clients are blown away with the video presentations.

I use SnagIt by TechSmith, which is of course the same people who produce Jing.  Both are outstanding programs. is hard to beat.   I also use

Create accounts at Yahoo Mail, MSN Mail (Hotmail or Live), and Google's Gmail.   Send Bcc Copies of your Emails to these Accounts.  Then you can see how your Sent Emails actually appear, including the Attached Files, PDFs, etc.   This also provides great Online Backup, in case your Primary Email Account crashes or goes down.

Thanks for tips!

It is amazing how much different the same email can look based on the email account.  I will check out SnagIt for sure to compare against Jing -

Happy Selling out there!

Ken - my sister lived in "Shannamara" for many years.    She and her husband owned a cul-de-sac house that backed up to "The Divide" Golf Course.

I went up there once or twice per year, so I am familiar with Weddington, and the other townships in your area.

Last year my sister and her husband sold the house in Shannamara, and moved to Myrtle Beach.  I was sad, because your area is truly beautiful, and of course you have Charlotte with all of its amenities.

Best wishes,  Fred Griffin.
