Hi - I was just reading a post by Richard Weisser -
" A question to other Newnan Georgia agents: Why are YOUR clients coming to ME for information? "
and it made me recall a humorous story (for me) regarding a phone call I had received last Fall.. I had volunteered to take another agent's 'op' time, and it was 4:55 p.m. In came a call asking for an agent who did not work in our company.... and so funny me says "Oh, no, you called the Number One company in Larchmont, that agent works for another company..." I laughed and thought he would say thank you and hang up, but he then went on to say "Wait a minute, that agent never called me back from a month ago... he was supposed to drive by my house so maybe I do not need him.." so I then (naturally ) replied "Well, I wouldn't just drive by your house, I would ask for an appointment, come by and sit and chat with you!" 10 minutes later, and I had an appointment with the gentleman stating 'he didn't need to speak with the other agent..."
Motto of the story (and this house was over $2 Million.... you never know so make sure you you are receptive to all of those calls...His house isn't yet listed - still working on some items..... but you know I am keeping in touch...
Different scenario than Richard's example - and he is offering information (and a nice soft sell)... which is great but I wanted to mention this too!
Have a great day! Gay
Larchmont and New Rochelle are GREAT
