I read a really worthwhile article earlier today at Daily Finance.  In it Charles Hugh Smith details why interest rates keep rising despite the Federal Reserves efforts to keep rates down through a Quantitative Easing Policy better known as QE2.

The jist of the article is that despite the Central Banks best intentions, there are a number of other factors such as a perception of inflationary policies, investor expectations, global market competition and unprecedented U.S. deficits that are driving rates in an unfavorable direction for prospective buyers.

What it means in all likelihood is that rates may have hit their historic lows in 4th quarter 2010.  While they still remain relatively low, many experts see a slow rise in rates throughout 2011 based upon the counter balance of factors mentioned.

Unfortunately, what are federal policies affect all real estate markets down to a local level.  So if you are searching for a home in Cherry Hill, NJ or any areas of South Jersey, your rates are going to likley be affected by QE2.

Still with prevailing rates under 5% on a 30 year fixed rate mortgage and low 4's on a 15 year fixed rate and with prices as low as they have been in years, 2011 may be a perfect time to consider the purchase of a home.  Now more than ever, you can get your proverbial ducks in a row with a simple conference, free of any charges or commitments whatsoever.  Why not position yourself for 2011 and beyond.

If you wish to enter the market, are searching for a Cherry Hill, NJ Realtor and wish to confer on the home buying process and other factors necessary to position yourself to do so, please contact me at Cherry Hill, NJ Realtor or simply email me at the contact below.
