Pelicans and Craigslist

Pelicans in Corpus Christi, Texas

I am very frustrated with Craigslist in Corpus Christi. I have two vacant units in a fourplex for rent there, and since September, my advertisements on Craigslist have been getting flagged, deleted, and ghosted. I don't know who's doing it, but I discovered that my ads aren't the only ones. I am getting very anxious about renting these units, as you can imagine.

But as I was going through some photos of Corpus Christi and Port Aransas today, I found several that reminded me of why I went there in the first place. It's a great place to relax and enjoy the slow pace of life.

This is a shot of a chain of pelicans winging over the beach at sunset. Next time somebody deletes my ad, I'll take a deep breath, think of the serene pelicans, and repost it in 48 hours. I'm not going to let the jerks get me down!

Sounds like Craigslist is not the answer. Does your virtual tour company broadcast to other sites, mine does.

Robin * multiple accounts and post from different IP addresses.  This has been discussed in the various CL forums and the multiple accounts are the key.  Each account should have a different phone verification # because CL knows which #s match which accounts.  Their new procedures seem to have cut down on SCAMS which I appreciate

Good luck Robin!  Stay after the Craig's List -- maybe you could do a couple different styles of ad and just keep recycling when your current one gets deleted.

Thanks for the pep talks and advice, everybody! I've been working on this Craigslist issue for months now, rewriting and reposting ads that for the previous 3 years were perfectly acceptable. The site has gone way overboard in its definition of scammers--I am not one, but I am treated like one. I no longer post any ads for my residential listings, but CL has been an excellent way to reach prospective tenants in Corpus Christi. Up until last summer, anyway, when all this started.
