Freddie Mac shows homeloans this week averaged 4.71% for 30 year fixed rate mortgages, while 15 year fixed rate mortgages averaged 4.08%.Need a new FHA home loan, or want to refinance for a lower mortgage payment? According to Freddie Mac, the 30-year fixed rate mortgage (FRM) averaged 4.71 percent with an average 0.8 point for the week ending January 13, 2011, down from last week when it averaged 4.77 percent. Last year at this time, the 30-year FRM averaged 5.06 percent.

The 15-year fixed rate mortgage this week averaged 4.08 percent with an average 0.7 point, down from last week when it averaged 4.13 percent. A year ago at this time, the 15-year FRM averaged 4.45 percent.

Freddie Mac shows homeloans this week averaged 4.71% for 30 year fixed rate mortgages, while 15 year fixed rate mortgages averaged 4.08%.In the West (CA, AZ, NV, OR, WA, UT, ID, MT, HI, AK, GU) ), Freddie Mac noted that the 30-year fixed rate mortgage averaged 4.67 percent with an average 0.9 point, while the 15-year fixed rate mortgage this week averaged 4.02 percent with an average 0.8 point.

Great information Bill thank you.  Keep in mind that both Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac are making changes to their pricing that will go into place on January 19th.  It will be even MORE important to keep track of your FICO score.
