Kensington Celebrates The International Day of the Book – April 17 – Now Accepting Applications for Participation

This afternoon street festival celebrates the International Day of the Book with local authors, bookartists, live music, readings, open mic, activities for children & adults…and books, books, books!

Rain or Shine.  Come celebrate with us!
Featuring the Nighthawks
with special guest mystery author George Pelecanos, reading with the band from his new novel “The Cut”.

Also featured is live music by JP McDermott & Western Bop, and folk singer Doris Justis;  chess games with International Chess Master and chess book author Allan Savage; free books from BookCrossing; and much more!  Check website for updates!

We are now accepting applications for participation from authors, bookartists, small press publishers, literary groups, and Kensington community organizations.  Please see the website for application forms and more information.
