10 Real Estate Topics for a Squidoo Lens - Part 6
If you missed the previous parts of this 10-part series, you may want to begin with Part-1 if you are unfamiliar with Squidoo. Each post in this series features a different idea for a real estate-oriented topic to present through a Squidoo lens. This is the sixth post in the series and Real Estate Education is the featured topic.
In Part 5, I touched on the idea of Real Estate Education through the topic of Becoming a Landlord. Real Estate is such a broad field that education on the subject matter can go in many different directions. I did a product search at Amazon.com using the keyword phrase, "real estate," and found over 81,000 results! Most of those results include products from the categories of Books, Magazines & Newspapers, and Software. Many of the results include titles in reference to real estate agents and real estate investing but more specific searches return products about appraisal, FSBO, title insurance, etc. What an immense resource for Real Estate Education!
So how does Amazon.com fit into creating a Squidoo lens? A Squidoo lens consists of components called "modules". Modules are the building blocks of Squidoo lenses and the Amazon product module is one of Squidoo's most popular. People search for products each day from the Amazon website. Squidoo helps to drive traffic to Amazon with a module that enables shoppers to buy Amazon products from the lenses you create, while paying you a commission for each sale you refer! Pretty amazing!
If you have a favorite real estate book (or two) you would recommend, you could easily create a Squidoo lens to promote that product and enable your readers to buy it through the Amazon module! You may not get rich by doing so, but it's an opportunity to earn extra income you otherwise wouldn't have. Of course Squidoo has dozens of different modules and the Amazon module is just one idea. If you ever decide to join Squidoo, I would like to see what you create there!
