Services for Real Estate Pros with Emomedia.net

Emomedia.net just got back from shooting for  Coldwell Banker agent Jacalyn Henthorne.  Thought it might be interesting to see how our aerial photos and professional photos are helping agents in the Houston area.   Sometimes we feel like we might just be the best kept secret in the Houston real estate market ;-)   Last week were told by an agent we shoot for that there are two numbers she doesn’t give out “Her Baby Sitter and her us her photographer ;-( “  Even though we love referrals we did get a good laugh out of that statement.   More and more of our agents are finding out how to gain a competitive edge at listing interviews by using our work in their presentations.     Get yourself a good photographer and then at your next listing interview be sure to explain how important photos are in this day and age of the internet.

Aerial Photo in Spring Texas by Emomedia.net

The home owner was super excited that we were able to get a nice aerial shot showing that there is a lake behind them

We also shot a little community shot to show off the lake, play ground, and public pool.

Our aerial photos grab the attention of the buyer and get them to click on the listing, but our interior photos get them to drive over and see the house ;-)

You can check out more of work at Emomedia.net thanks

Mike - Nice aerial shots.  Shows off the house and area well.   The interior HDR shot is nicely done.  The only change I would recommend is removing the stretched out lamp shade in the lower left.

HI Dora and Vincent.. thanks.. you know your photography i’m impressed you see my HDR image ;-)

Yes my wide angle lens stretched that lamp a little.

Here is another interior shot.  I like how well the wide angle lens opens things up, but have to be careful on distorting images.

Decided to go back and look closer at the shot after reading your comment.  What do you think about the way I cropped it here?

@Mike - I like the new compositon and also the more warm/yellow lighting, esp for the family room area.

Hey Mike, your photos are beautiful. I do like the composition of the first shot better though because you can see the windows and the light matches the other shot better. This is a pretty shot, very warm but does it match the rest of them? I like matching light when possible...how wide is your lens? And how do you do your aerial shots? Is the one of the house from a pole?

Great ariel shots which I feel really add to showing off a property.  I like the inside wide angle as well but do also notice the lamp shade and table it is sitting on in the last shot.

HI Frank

I shoot with a 14mm canon lens.. it was expensive but worth it.   Just this year har.com as now allowed realtors to post 32 photos, but in the past it was only 16.  I found with my wide angle lens I could show almost 3 times as much information.  In other words someone with a normal point and shoot camera would have to take 3 photos to make up the info in 1 I have.  So even though there can be a little distortion the information in the room is more important.  If I was shooting architectural type shots for a magazine then i’d watch more for the distortion.   I am shooting for people looking to buy a house and for them the important things seem to be like you mentioned the windows, how many doors, how does the room connect to the house.

Same with my aerial shots.  If a house has a pool or sits on a golf course many times a photographer would have to take 3 shots to show what I can show with 1.  PLus we have gotten great feed back on buyers being able to see the lay out.   Our photos sold atleast 2 houses last year to people who never even stepped foot in them ;-)

Look below at the photos and tell me which house you think your client would want to go and see first?   Also a good example look at this listing.  It has a pool, barn, garage apartment, and alot of land... might have taken 5 shots to show the same stuff we showed with one photo.   I started out using a pole about 7 years ago, but I am World Champion Model airplane pilot so I decided to put those skills to work and now i’m using a helicopter so I can get much higher and better angles ;-)

Here you go look below the same house but this photo was taken by the previous realtor

Love the shots.  I also fly RC, sport scale, trying to figure how I can do this for my clients here in NYC.  Not allowed to go too far from the field.  I'm in the middle of three major airports.  Thanks for sharing.
