I used to mention our weekly podcast Social Media Edge more often on my blog, then we built up a good-sized audience (many of whom listen to our archived recording, rather than the "live" broadcast) and I sort of stopped promoting it as much. I need to remedy that.
Our BlogTalkRadio show has been around for about 2.5 years now. Ken Cook originally started the show, then I joined as co-host in December 2008. It's hard to believe how quickly the past 2+ years have passed, and how many great shows we've had.
With another new year upon us, we've already booked some stellar guests for the upcoming months, some of whom are nationally recognized best selling authors and speakers in the marketing/business realm. Be forewarned, however - we've declared this to be the "Year of the Snark", so we may not pull many punches.
Join us every Tuesday at noon Eastern (11am Central, 9am Pacific) for fun and solid social media information. We cover trends, tips, and we sometimes even call out companies publicly as part of our "Social Media Winner/Loser of the Week" segment. The show is an hour long every week.
The show is never formal, so if you're looking for "60 Minutes" or the McNeil-Lehrer Report, you might be disappointed. However, if you want to learn some cool stuff from a laidback group of hosts and regular contributors, why not check it out sometime? We are joined by Mike Mueller and Jeremy Blanton, and we're always on the lookout for new talent to bring onto our staff. We might even add a show or two to our network this year.
There's a chat room that's generally a lot of fun, too. Lately, we've had about 15-20 people in the chat - I think our record was almost 90 once. I would love to beat that this year. :)
If you're interested in hearing some of our past shows, visit http://itunes.apple.com/podcast/social-media-edge-blog-talk/id306416378 and you can access any/all of the shows we've ever done. Hope you can join us sometime. During the live hour, we also have a switchboard if you're interested in calling (347-215-7478). Call in and surprise us!
Thanks for reading!
