Drive By the old Bragdon Farm on Route 101 in Amherst on a weekend or school vacation and the fun is evident in all the smiling little faces and you hear whoops and whelps of joy! Such are the simple pleasures of a Winter day in Amherst NH.
There is a parking lot on one side of the busy Route 101 road and the sliding hill is on the other side of the road. For those that have not been to the Bragdon Hill before, you wouldn't know there is an underground tunnel.
Park on one side of the road and there is a GIANT culvert (it must be 8' round) and you go right under Rt 101 to the sliding hill. Someone said the culvert was once used to bring the cows back and forth from the fields to the barn. Cool.
