Whoops! Who Smashed Into The Caldwell Crossings Sign?

WHOOPS!

WHO SMASHED INTO THE CALDWELL CROSSINGS SIGN?

Caldwell Crossings Hoover AL

The Caldwell Crossings Homeowners Association would love to know and is asking anyone that may have seen the accident to contact them.  This is the sign at the Crossings Drive entrance into the subdivision, just across Caldwell Mill Road from the entrance to Altadena Woods.  You can't see in the photo, but there are obvious tire tracks in the planting bed where a vehicle plowed through pansies and lighting fixtures before crashing into the sign.

Can you help?  Please call 733-6700.

That is not going to be inexpensive to fix! Do you think alcohol may have had something to do with this? You must be going pretty fast to get through the flowers and the lights.

Kathy, we had ice Sunday and Monday.  I didn't notice this until Friday and really not sure when it happened......so it could have been a slip and slide accident.

Ouch!  Hope whoever is responsible will come forward Ann and I hope they weren't hurt. ' Must have been a pretty hard landing to do this much damage.

Ann - I have to confess. It was Craig Rutman from Raleigh, http://activerain.com/blogs/craigrutman, he told me not to tell.

Seriously , I hope no person was hurt in this accident. Cheers

Wow. I do hope they left some information for you to reach them. Maybe an accident but that's an expensive accident.

How low is the sign? I am sure the vehicle looks worse.

Rose Mary, I hope so too.

Mary, that had to be an awful jolt!  I bet somebody's sore at the very least.

Claude, Ha!  I knew it!

Connie, they think it was either a truck or SUV.

Indera, I wonder how much it is going to cost to repair it?

I think to do that kind of damage to that kind of sign means there is some significant damage to the vehicle. I wonder if one could contact local collision repair shops and seek their help for any interesting collision repair requests that come in.

Ellen, I wonder if it was one of the residents or a regular visitor like myself?  They are pretty sure it was a truck or SUV and I drive an SUV that has a boo boo on the front bumper......only my boo boo has been there forever.  I swear it wasn't me!!!!!

Russel, this is my Mom and Dad's 'hood.....you can almost see this sign from their house.  Maybe they could take turns standing watch and make note of suspicious tag numbers.

Craig....wait just a minute buster!  I've watched a gazillion CSI episodes and I'm pretty sure the point of impact was inflicted by a wooden shoe strangely similar to the ones you are wearing in that photo.  Fess up, dude!

Ann - Craig was juiced up from the Jets win and took off. If the shoes don't fit... you must admit.
