For a lot of my life I was a road warrior. You know that person you see on the road with a rack across the back f the car with shirts and jackets hung on it. So along the ay i have seen some wild things people do as they are driving.

When I drove n NYC it was not uncommon to see drivers driving and reading the paper in the stop and go traffic.  Later on it was talking on the cell phone. And of course the combo of cell phone talking and reading the paper.

Then there are the women combing their hair and tossing their heads while driving. In addition there are those putting on make -up and drinking coffee at the same time while driving. There were even a couple of occasions where I saw couples ..... well you figure it out while driving. BUT yesterday was the best. While at a stop sign in the middle of no where a pick up truck turned in front of me and the driver was  wait fo it .... SHAVING. I just burst out laughing. In all my years and hundreds of thousands of miles I had never seen this. So please add to this post about what you have seen drivers doing while driving

seen some disciplining their child in the backseat.  I dislike those drivers.  They are inflicting pain on to the child and are also putting them at risk of getting into a bad situation.  :(

Sounds as if you've been there and done that all over the US.  Like this post cause I needed a little humor.

Kim, that may have been me back about 20 years ago, oops your not that old are you. I also keep an electric razor in my car and I did indeed read the paper while on the highway, never in town.

PS did you know the correct term for a woman applying makeup is "farding". You can tell people you saw a woman farding in the car and they always think something else and wonder how you know.

Angela, yes that is distasteful and as they are not facing where they are going dangerous

Kim I have been guilty of changing clothes in the car but I was parked

Bob your comment stand on its own and there is nothing I can add to it

LOL  I used to live in Southern California...and I saw many men using razors...electric mostly!   And many women putting on makeup!   I wasn't down there when cell phones were so common but I can only imagine what the commute looks like today!   LOL

Charlie I think you've seen almost all there is to see when driving!  I grew up in Boston and used to love the Newspaper readers, enjoying coffee and doing 80 down 128.  I've never felt so safe in my life, so it makes me wonder whats worse texting and driving or reading the paper?

Oh I foregot this one, I did get to witness a gentlemen on 2 phones, I've never laughed so hard, he turned to look at me and with no hands on the wheel two phones, one on each ear, multitasking to a whole new level!

Shaving isn't really new.  I have a family member that used to do that all of the time.  Here in Georgia, the one that got me was the man that was talking on the cell phone and eating a sandwich at the same time driving down 575 at 70 miles an hour.  Need I say more?
