I always want to offer my sellers the best advantage when I represent them in the sale of their home and I'm always open to suggestions that may help them get their home sold quickly and for the best price.
One idea I've thought about is whether I should use a home stager with my listings. While I understand the value, it may not always be feasible due to the type of listing (short sale or foreclosure), condition of the home, or the seller's financial situation. I actually could see the return on investment on a home selling for over $200K, but given the average home price in our area is around $150,000, is it feasible to bring in a home stager?
I usually give my sellers a check list of items they should consider replacing or improving to enhance the salability of their home. I also do a walk-through with the seller and make suggestions to improve visual appeal.
Since I am not a trained expert in the field, I'd like suggestions from those of you who are what to look for when selecting a home stager. What should I look for in terms of pricing and performance? Any help or suggestions I can get in this area would be greatly appreciated.
