According to the Florida Association of Realtors, "Florida home prices are now comparable to the preboom years. In August 2010, the median price of a single family home statewide was $134,000. In August 2001, the median price was $130,000". I'm wondering if this "rule of thumb" holds true in other areas of the country.

From the info I have read, the San Antonio area has only had a slight decrease in home values(2-5%) over the past several years. Locally(Kerrville)- we really haven't seen much loss in values, we just haven't seen the activity in the market or gains that we were experiencing in prior years.
