College Cove is a beach in Trinidad where you will find surfers hanging ten on the thrashing waves when the tide is good. On a sunny day there are also people playing Frisbee with their dog or laying out in the sand getting some sun. Since the beach is shaped concaved, the cliffs on both sides block the wind and keeps the beach nice and warm.
Trinidad Head is great for sight seeing. It is a looping trail that allows you to overlook all of Trinidad and its beautiful beaches. All along this trail there are benches to stop and take in the amazing views that you can't experience anywhere else. If you look closely out in the ocean, you may be able to spot a whale, or even a shark!
Besides all the great hiking and beaches, there are many amenities that are worth checking out. You can visit the Humboldt State Marine Lab and Aquarium to see displays of marine science and learn about biological, chemical, and geological oceanography. After a long day at the beach and discovering marine science, you can wine and dine at the Sunset Restaurant. Its name is very significant to its location because while you are enjoying you're delicious meal, you can also enjoy the beautiful sunset at the same time. Sunset Restaurant is popular because it is set high on a hill overlooking the ocean with large glass windows. Once you are done eating you can try your luck at the Cher-Ae Heights Bingo and Casino which happens to be located in the same building as the Sunset Restaurant.
