1 Purple Cow – Emilysway.com Indy Social Media Networking Cheeze
When famous marketer Seth Godin wrote his Best Selling book: Purple Cow, in which he examines modern marketing including the putting of ads on milk cartons: I am sure that he meant that a Purple Cow (a business that stands out) yields more milk (money) than one that blends in.
- How professional and up-to-date is your website?
- Can I opt-in to your feed?
- Can a push a button and become your friend on any bookmarking site or social network I like without typing?
- How professional is your Twitter profile?
- When do you tweet?
- How often do you blog?
- Where do you re-post partial articles?
- What groups do you organize?
- What groups are you a part of?
- When was the last time you updated your pitch-video?
OK, I could go on and on: but the point is: there is a brave new world out there when it comes to marketing online. You cannot do a professional job yourself: this has become a specialty, like a doctor or a lawyer (actually, Emily almost went to Law School before she figured out that she did not want the job!)
Just s you would not perform surgery on yourself, or represent yourself in court: the things that I, or Emily may say about you would be immodest if you said them.
So here is my question: how long will you wait before you cal Emily? Will you stay alive on the operating table long enough for us to save you??
