THANK$

By
Real Estate Agent with HomeLife Southern Properties

“The deepest principle in human nature is the craving to be appreciated”       ~William James~

Appreciation is the act of thankful recognition of someone or something.  Why is this act not seen more in the job of the real estate agent?

REALTOR® “Code of Ethics”

Article 1 states: When representing a client our primary pledge is to promote and protect the interest of our clients (above our own).  There are 15 more standards of practice under Article 1 and 8 more Articles that are specific to our relationship with our clients.

How in the world would someone not want to pay someone for this? I am at a loss for too many other professions that demand total commitment to the client such as Real Estate.

Deb, I can't think of one time that our clients did not thank us for our performance as their Real Estate Team.  Obviously, we thank them for trusting us to take care them, but all have realized the amount of time (and patience) we put into our job.

Clients just see our "face" time. They don't see what is done at our desks, on the phone, the computer and so on and on and on. They also don't see the number of deals that may have gone south, and the amount of $$ to maintain a presence. I always thank my clients and I know that they have received my personal best and always with the Code of Ethics in mind.
