Boulder County Real Estate - New Home Community

If you have been looking at new homes in Boulder County, you haven't had a plentiful number of new home communities to choose from. So it is with much excitement I write today about a new home community that is underway in LOUISVILLE, Colorado. Not only is Boulder County considered a desirable place to live, but Louisville, in particular has received a lot of attention (both locally as well as nationally). Louisville was voted as the best place to live two years in a row by Money Magazine. And while many communiities have seen home values drop in recent years, Louisville home values have managed to maintain and in most cases increase in value.
There is just something about Louisville that draws a lot of attention; maybe it's:
- Great schools
- Healthy lifestyle
- Lots of parks (including a large dog park)
- Huge Recreational Center
- A sense of community with an active down town area.
- Lots of neighborhood restaurants
- Summer "Friday Night" festivals throughout the summer with live bands
- Farmers Market
- Numerous walking and biking trails
- Low crime rate
- Close proximity to Denver and Boulder
- Close proximity (2 hours or less) to numerous ski areas
- Close proximity to hiking and rock climbing
- Close proximity to large employment base for aerospace, clean energy, technology, engineering, medical and research.

The community is being built by Ryland Homes and has been named STEEL RANCH. Steel Ranch is located just north of South Boulder Road on the west side of 95th Street.
The earth movers and construction have already begun at the new site!
Ryland is being a bit hush, hush about the new community but artist renderings and floor plans of their new (never before seen) home series called "Perspectives" will be coming out soon.
Stakes are being set and progress is definitely in motion. Just think, "this could be the site of your new home!" Even on a cloudy day, there is a great view of the front range!
The new Steel Ranch community featuring the "Perspectives" series, will include both ranch and 2-story, single family homes between 1,700 and 3,100 square feet. Some lots will feature walk-out basements and others will also back to open space. Homes will be priced from the $300's.
So what's so new about the "Perspectives" series by Ryland as compared to other Ryland homes? The difference is the amount of focus being placed on maximizing usuable spaces within the home. In other words, the "Perspectives" series will have less formal spaces; emphasizing larger bedrooms, more walk-in closets, 2 main floor masters and/or an "in-law suite," and bigger garages.
Ryland is planning for the new community to officially open in April 2011 with models, so be sure to stay tuned for more information!
