Tomball Restaurants:
There are lots of wonderful local and family-owned Tomball restaurants and eating places that you may not know about if your aren't from the Tomball area. Below is a list of some of my favorite local restaurants. Do yourself a favor and try any one (or several) of them. I think you'll find the food is great; and the service friendly.
Of course, Tomball Restaurants include Arby’s, Burger King, Chili’s, Ci Ci’s Pizza, Church's Chicken, Dairy Queen, Denny’s, Dominoes Pizza, Five Guys Burgers & Fries, Hartz Chicken, Jack in the Box, Luby’s, McDonald’s, Panda Express, Papa John’s Pizza, Pizza Hut, Popeye’s, Chicken, Schlotsky’s, Smoothie King, Sonic, Schlotzky’s, Taco Bell, Taco Cabana, Whataburger and many of the other chains, but if you're looking for those Tomball Restaurants that are local, family-owned and frequented by the locals (and others that have discovered them), try some of these . . .

It's not fancy, but they pack'em in daily for lunch AND dinner! Don't let the outside fool you! Home style cooking at it's best! Home of the Mel Burger. Awesome chicken fried steak, catfish, burgers, chicken and dumplings, meatloaf, fried mushrooms, and lots of other stuff! Kid's menu. This is one of the most well-known Tomball Restaurants. People come from nearby Spring, Cypress, Magnolia and Houston to eat here. When Tomball residents have out-of-town company, Mel's is usually on the tour of places to visit!

The Original Rib Tickler, Original owners, Ted & Sylvia! Great BBQ! They were greatly missed! Tomball is glad they're back, which is quite obvious -- I've noticed that they've been packed every time I've driven by since the re-opening on January 26, 2011.
The Patch Restaurant

You'll see LOTS of Tomball locals here for breakfast, lunch and/ or dinner - you know it's one of the really good Tomball Restaurants if the locals eat here! They feature home style cooking and are known for their buffets and the friendly people who work there! The owner will probably check on you as well to make sure everything is ok. When they were over on Snook (for years!), they were The Blueberry Patch. In their new location on Tomball Parkway, they are now just The Patch (same great food and same great service, I might add!).

One of Tomball's favorite lunch spots! Great menu. My favorite is their chicken salad sandwich and their salads. Neat atmosphere! Awesome desserts! Lots of good things on the menu! It is surrounded by great and unusual Old Town Tomball gift shops such as O'Suzanna's, Tender Touch Gifts, Gigi's Infant & Children's Boutique, Sallie Fisher's Custom Frames (also carries Bling Bling Jewelry!) and more great shops -- come see for yourself.
This will be an ongoing project. If you know of any other local Tomball Restaurants that need to be added, let me know.
Tomball also offers great shopping, which includes many wonderful shops in Old Town Tomball as well as Downtown Tomball.
