MassHousing Lowers Interest Rates for First Time Home Buyers in MA

We are extremely excited at the roll out of MassHousing's Priority Mortgage Product! 

This product reduces MassHousing's already low interest rates by .25%! 


This rate reduction is available to those families that:

1. Are First Time Home Buyers buying an owner-occupied property
                                           and
2. Have incomes at or below 80% of the Area Median Income

The median income varies from city to city.  The range in MA from roughly $52,000 to $87,000 for 2 Family Households. The income limit is higher for Families of three or more.

Properties can be Single or Multi-Families up to 4 Units, and as with all of MassHousing's programs, come with MI PLUS which pays up to 6 months of Mortgage payments should a "life occurrence" happen and a borrower is unable to pay their mortgage.

The Priority Mortgage Product is yet another testament to MassHousing's Goal of SUSTAINABLE housing in Massachusetts.  Good job MassHousing!
