HOW IT WORKS
Enter Sweepstakes
In order to enter the sweepstakes, you must enter your name, address, email address, date of birth, and phone number, and a "cheer" (or nomination) for your city. You will also be given the opportunity to explain what you think the prize money should be used for if the city you nominate wins.
CHEER FOR YOUR TOWN
When you cheer your city, it will be placed into one of the following four municipal categories:
(1) population of 500,000 or more.
(2) population of 250,000 - 499,999
(3) population of 100,000 - 249,999 population, and
(4) population of 99,999 or less.
Municipal prizes will be awarded in each of these categories. When you cheer your city for the chance to win one of the municipal prizes, you will also be entering yourself to win one of the personal prizes. Limit of 10 entries per person per day.
PRIZES
Municipal
A total of ten (10) Municipal Prizes will be awarded (in the form of a donation) to nominated towns or cities. All winning municipalities will appear in the May issue of Reader's Digest, and will become a stop on the Reader's Digest RV tour.
One (1) First Place Prize of $40,000
One (1) Second Place Prize of $25,000
Four (4) Runner Up Prizes of $10,000
Four (4) Category Based Runner Up Prizes of $10,000 each
Individual
A total of 11 prizes will be awarded to individual entrants.
One (1) Grand Prize of $35,000, for a car and other expenses for a road trip across the United States
