Building Relationships with your Builder

Home Stager with Home Staging By CC

Last week I received a form request (via my website) from a wife of an investment builder. Her husband is in the home construction business and they have this great property that wasn't selling. The wife began googling ways to help sell homes and came across Home Staging.

This is just a reminder to me that there are still many people who are unaware of Home Staging. Though, she had thought about it months prior she became convinced after doing some of her own online research.
I meet with the lovely couple and saw their concern and frustration with the lack of offers coming in. I also became aware of the fact that they had not been advised to Stage the property by the Real Estate company they hired. It frustrates me every time!! Homes in this price range should always be staged.
Now, referring to one of my favorite shows, Selling New York, it is evident that Core always Stages properties of a certain calibur. It is crucial and necessary to help the buyers visualize a new construction as a home and eliminate any potential questions in design and layout.
Consequently, 1 week before contacting me they were advised to do a BIG price reduction-BIG.
"Your investment in Home Staging will always be less than your first price reduction!"
Well, the property has been staged and all are happy. The builders now know that they will never put a home on the market again, until it is STAGED!!! As the owner said, "you turned the property into a home."
