Imagine that...

Real Estate Broker/Owner with Hello Realty NM Broker License 16161

Imagine that... "it snows here" said my prospective buyer when they called to tell me they cancelled "their dream" to live in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Snow is a "nightmare" for us they went on to explain. I told them our winter snow is dependable as the Sangre de Cristo Mountains cradles our community. I wished them well and decided it was time to talk about snow.

It is important to remember that mountains are built for snow!  We are blessed with Ski Santa Fe an hour away from our Historic Plaza. In fact, one of the Ski Santa Fe lifts brings skiers to an elevation just over 12,000 feet! Unlike, many ski destinations in the United States, there is no resort on our mountain winter paradise. Santa Fe is the ski village for locals and tourists alike.

If you wondering what a this photo of a hot tub has to do with skiing... remember its a great way to relax after a day on the slopes. Stay tuned for more images of our absolutely beautiful white snow under glorious blue skies and sunshine. And in our city different, it has to melt quickly as Mother nature is our 12th snow plow. If your dream is a Santa Fe lifestyle, hopefully, our snow season will not deter you from an exceptional place to call home.

Some people can't handle the snow. I love it! It is better than ice and rain in my opinion

Emily, Mountains and snow, yes, they do go together:)  Too bad that those buyers had no idea.  What a shame to travel all the way there, to just up and leave because of snow.  Love the hot tub photo!

Emily! I have to say you have a great eye for composition. This photo is wonderful. I thought snow in the high desert would be fun to see. A desert landscape with snow and few trees must be spectacular! I have the idea that one probably needs sun glasses all year round in New Mexico. Roseanne
