I'm fortunate that I only have to scoop Zoey the Cool Cat's poop once or twice a year. She prefers that someone other than me do that. Or is it that I prefer someone other than me do that? .................... I was just reading an article about kitty litter and it said that kitty litter used to be a brand, Kitty Litter™. I guess it went the way of xerox, kleenex, jello, photoshop, etc. Other interesting facts about kitty litter: ♪♫♫♫♪ If you're looking for a great real estate agent in San Diego, well, I'm available 24/7, so feel free to contact me by phone or email. I am reading a really, really good dog book titled "The Art OF Racing in the Rain." Even as a cat lover, this is a great read! Any great cat books?
Ricky scoops the kitty litter in our house, but I have to give Zoë the cool pup the baths! (Sounds like a great deal to me!) ☺
You clean their boxes and you feed them but do they give you any attention, no. All you get is that look of "Well what are you going to do for me next?" Oh well... Thanks for the blog.
Jim, i am a personal servant to my cat since i lost my last one to outside prowlers...but this was interesting to know. Yes, i had a client who had to spend $40k on a new waterfront sani filtration system because his tenants kept putting kittly litter down the toilet....thanks for sharing & not doing your share of the job at home! lucky you
#7 was an interesting fact that I was not aware of, Jim. The poor little sea otters! We don't have sea otters here, only lake otters but they are so cute.
I never cared for the task either. We sometimes carry Kitty Litter in our cars when it is icing out .. just in case we need to get a better tire grip if we get stuck. I just try to avoid being out period. Texans just get plain silly in the ice.
SInce I have never owned a cat I have not experienced the kitty litter chore. Interesting about it clumping when wet. I wonder if anyone has ever tried to dispose of it by pouring in the toilet...probably!
Kitty Litter, not quite a chore if you are used t it and passionate about your dear kitty. I have a friend who does know that she needs to go out when nature calls. Impressive actually, I think my friend is teaching her cat how to use the seat now and perhaps flush too! =D
Jim, I don't care for that part of having furrballs, but someone has to do it! THX for the good facts!
Very interesting. Thanks for the post. Also are you still in the process of making an active rain kitty calendar of everyone on AR who submitted pictures?

Hi Jim. I once had a cat that didn’t quite grasp the idea of using a litter box. She would stand on all fours on the box’s rim... and while staring intently at the kitty litter… would drop her business on the floor outside the box! I quickly learned to surround her litter box with newspaper. On the upside, the litter box was always clean!
Hey Jim, I did not know that about the brand name. The clumpable stuff is good. As a cat owner I sure do appreciate the fact that a litter box can allow us to take a weekend away from home.

Hi Jim,
Cute topic with interesting info. I must say, there is a reason we have a cat door to the great outdoors and no kitty litter in the house. :)

Hey, everyone — Thanks for stopping by.
As usual, I get way behind in checking the comments to my many blog posts, so that’s what I’m doing this evening, trying to catch up.
I’ll read through all the comments to see if any of them need a specific response. If so, I’ll respond below this comment. Thanks again for stopping by and commenting. I really do appreciate it, and I’ll be by your blogs soon to do some reading and commenting soon.
Cheryl – I read “The Art of Racing in the Rain.” Yes, very good. I don’t know of an equally good cat book, but I liked “Dewey the Small-town Library Cat.” For horse books, “Seabiscuit” was extremely good.
Steve – Don’t mistake the cat stereotype for all cats. Our Zoey the Cool Cat is the most loveable, sociable cat I’ve ever been around, and I’ve had many cats.
Michael – The problem I’m running into is making an eBook that’s not too bulky.
