To catch lots of fish, you must first go to the water

Wixom Lake is approximately 2000 acres of waterway for boating and fishing. It is an all sports lake. Both the Tobacco River and the Tittabawassee River flow into Wixom Lake. Great fishing!

If you like boating and fishing, this is a great area for you!

Top photo by Ray Kennedy and I took the lower picture. It's a painting my daughter did in high school. I helped a little! Enjoyed it too.

Do you know the real artist and name of the photo that is imitated here?

Marilyn,

Both photos are beautiful! The painting by your daughter, oil, acrylic or water? It is very engaging. I hope she will pursue her art.

Charlie, We do have lots of fish. Thanks. Yes, it's been about six at night and when the wind blows it is so very cold, and yes the winters do last pretty long! That's why some folks migrate like the birds!

Margo, I thought so too! Or Build it and they will come!

John, The paintings are acrylic. She has an associate in Art and is now completing Business Administration - an artist could starve you know!

Appreciate your comments! Have a great weekend!

Marilyn,

Glad she has a backup plan. My daughter too. After two years in the art department at Suffolk University, she decided to get a teaching certificate. Enjoy your weekend as well!

I used to paint watercolors until I graduated from college and had to go to work to pay the bills. My mom still has a houseful of my paintings.

John, Yeah, Right I know! Teaching is a wonderful profession, I seriously thought about that myself. Both my grandmas and one aunt were teachers; my sister is presently. And love of art is in the family too. Thanks, Have a good week.

Jim, I would love to paint all day, but I have bills to pay too. May I ask what your degree is in - it's probably in your profile. You could take photos of some of them and share them with us!!! My sister has some really cool paintings from her younger years. I'll try to find a photo of my fav!

Have a great week!
