New Years' Resolutions For Your Home - My Latest Article for REALTOR® Magazine

By
Home Stager with Dezigner Digz

It's the start of a brand new year.  Most likely, you have a list of personal items that you want to accomplish in the next 11 months like many others.  What about your home?  Have you prepared a 'to-do' list of things you've been meaning to do?  If you're planning on selling this year, you may want to make some New Years' resolutions for your home.

I decided to create a home resolution list this year even though we're not selling.  You can check it out in my latest article for REALTOR® Magazine's blog Styled, Staged and Sold to get some ideas on what you can add to your list.  Click here to find out more.

Hi Charlene--Nice article.  It's interesting to think if homeowners would do this on a regular basis just think how much easier it would be for them when it actually came time to sell.  Good ideas here.

Charlene - What a great subject for an article.  I can't part with my decorating magazines.  I just can't.  Don't make me!  I think I have issues (magazine issues, that is!) going all the way back to the 90's!  I know, it's a problem.  Congrats on the article!

Charlene-Great article. I also am trying to do more purging of clothes and consolidating pictures from my decorating magazines. It is a life long process.

Janet - Thank you.  That is so true, it would definitely be a lot easier if this were done a regular basis.

Sally - Thanks!  I had a hard time parting with my older magazines, but my shelves sure look a lot more organized now.  I just know that now that they're gone, I'm going to want to refer back to something from years ago.  That always seems to happen ...

Marianne - It definitely is a life long process.  I wish I could keep a better handle on these things.  I always seem to wait until it turns into a major job before I start organizing.
