One of my New Year's resolutions was to get back into the habit of blogging on Active Rain. I had become a pretty active member during the summer and early fall, but got so busy at work and with my kids that my blogging dropped off.
Now I'm just wondering if other agents might share any resolutions they made about growing their business and how they plan to go about it? Any ideas would be appreciated. THanks and Happy New Year!
I am working on networking more within FaceBook and Twitter and Linked In so that they all do the correct SEO stuff. I joined a great group through Active Rain to promote each other's off-site stuff. David Bruce Jr. got me started.
I am so happy for a new year! Last year was one to be forgotten! I am really going to ramp it back up and get to my old numbers this year!
I would suggest for you to set a reasonable weekly goal in regards to blogging...ie: 1 post a week on a current listing of mine, and 1 post a week on a local business or community event..that would be managable. Having a weekly goal keeps you on track!

You need to do it. If you enjoy blogging and being on active rain then do it. I know that having kids and taking care of them diverts your attention, but you need time for you.
Billi, just blog it. ACTION = RESULTS. You can just pick up where you left off. I agree with Pat, write about local places or events and your listings.
Billi...I'm new to Active Rain but have a good friend that has challenged me to 30 minutes a day. I got started yesterday and spent about an hour. So far today, I've been on here over an hour. I think my personal goal will be to spend an hour a day, blog 3-5 times a week and post at least 10 things daily.
