Mr. Agent, "How Are You Going to Market My Home?"

Of all the questions you can ask a real estate agent who is trying to win the right to sell your home, the most critical one has to be, "How are Your Going to Market My Home?"

In this video we talk about all the steps that happen after a listing agreement is signed, the home has been de-cluttered and staged in the marketing of your home.

First, high quality photos are critical.  Your agent should be using a high end camera and not a simple point and shoot camera because the quality of the photos is so important to draw attention to your home over others.  Some agents hire professional photographers and others like our team, take the pictures ourselves but use the right camera AND the right lighting to present your home in the best possible light, pun intended.

We also encourage sellers to ask to review the marketing material brochures prepared by their agent before the final printing occurs to make sure the descriptions are accurate and are favorable to the features of the home that will appeal to most buyers.  It is important the brochure highlights the benefits of  your home and just contain a list of features.

Third, because this is a busy time in the home selling process we put together a timeline for our clients so everyone knows what day every task is due so everyone working together can see a successful launch of your home into the market.

Finally, we know and appreciate how tough it can be to keep your home clean and ready for buyers to come through at any time, so we encourage daily spot cleaning of your home so you are not scrambling to do a major cleaning when you get a call from a buyer's agent with buyers ready to see your home.

Since so many people search online first, we create a custom website for each home we sell,  which features the photos and description of the home along with a location map, site plat if available and links to the schools that serve your subdivision.   Blogging about your home also gets the word out and attracts as many ‘eyeballs' as possible to all those great photos.

For other ideas on how to market your home, be sure to call the Equity Rise team directly.
