Not the road map you drive with, but one that details their real estate transaction. We all do so much behind the scenes that clients really don't know how much work goes into closing their loan or their real estate transaction.
So...we designed a handly little time line "road map". It shows the client all the work we're doing and how long it takes to do it.
I'm a fanatic about updating buyers, sellers, and both agents, but what the "road map" does is let the client's fears evaporate if they don't hear from us for a day or two. We let them know, in advance, how long each step takes. And WE TELL THEM AT THE BEGINNING! This is important. You have to inform PROACTIVELY. If you inform REACTIVELY it has less impact and appears too contrived.
So let your buyers and sellers know what's going on, before it's going on. They'll respect you more for the work you do and they'll rest confident knowing you're working hard on their behalf!
