Dallas Superbowl Sunday

football playerIt’s here. Superbowl XLV and the big question of the day...who’s going to win? That’s a fairly easy answer from my perspective. Dallas is. Yes, Dallas is going to be the big winner. Not as grand as the predictions that were made during the building and planning of the event. No one, not even Cowboy owner Jerry Jones, could have ever imagined the extreme cold that swept across the nation leaving it’s impact on all of us and Superbowl week.

All week Dallas has watched as Superbowl Storm spread its havoc on the parties and other festive events planned well in advance. Finally, on Friday the sunshine broke through the clouds melting away some of the ice and snow. Cheers went up in Dallas. Until the news traveled that some visitors to the new Cowboy Stadium had been injured by the sliding ice from the rooftop of the stadium. Another event not anticipated in the planning.

Saturday the sun was out in Dallas working its rays on the Superbowl Storm as its residue slipped away into the drains and out of sight. Superbowl Sunday is predicted to be cloudy once more with a chance of rain and possibly snow. Locals are not at all eager at the thought of more snow.

Somehow I don’t think that is going to dampen the spirits of the two teams, the Greenbay Packers and the Pittsburg Steelers, playing in the game. Both teams are boisterous that they feel right at home in the cold even though Dallas-Ft. Worth does not. The day has arrived. Let the game begin. History has already been written for Superbowl XLV.

I really think this will be a really good game.  Both teams are good and can flat get it done.

Teral, the pictures of Dallas earlier in the week did not look promising for the Super Bowl - glad to hear that everything is okay now.

I tell you with ESPN broadcasting from Ft Worth all week, downtown Ft Worth has been totally nutzo with fans and tourist. The resturants in Ft Worth are so crowded its a amazing !! And Arlington where the stadium is and the game is actually being played has been boosted revenue wise bigtime.   Arlington and Ft Worth have been just a whole other world the last week !!  Sundance Square in downtown FW with ESPN setting up has been celebrity central ! Its been a five day party.

So with the Superbowl in Arlington and the Rangers in World Series, that  town has had a pretty good few months !
