This has been a brutal winter in Atlanta and all of North Fulton County, Georgia! The temps have barely made it above 50 (the typical average this time of year) and we have already experienced an ice / snowstorm twice! When I first moved to Atlanta in 1990 from Naperville, IL, I sold my snowblower, shovel, hats, gloves, scarves, and other woolens. This winter all would have come in handy! I don't even own a windshield scraper any longer.
Worst of all, I am an Agent with "ants in my pants".....
I am typically outdoors every single day of the year clearing trees, limbs, and branches from our heavily wooded lot or cleaning fence rows sourrounding our lot. Hey, if nothing else I will trim shrubs, rake pine needles or just hose off the sidewalks and driveway; but not this winter!
It is rare that I would be stuck inside, but when I am there are countless home projects that I can tackle. There was a cold snap a few years ago so I tiled our Kitchen backsplash with travertine tile that matched our counter-tops. Then there was the 100-year floods a year ago in September that brought me indoors to tile our Master Bathroom floor. And once this past summer we had a 100 degree weekend so I put down hardwood flooring in our Family Room.
Unfortunately, there aren't a lot of projects remaining; I have painted every room, ceiling and piece of trim in the house, installed all new light fixtures, removed all of the wall-to-wall carpeting, and replaced all of the faucets.
If I am not showing homes, listing homes, selling homes or previewing homes; I have to dive into a home project or go stark raving mad!!!! I am just an Atlanta Agent with "ants in my pants" and I need more Listings AND Buyers.
