I Have My Eye On You.....
Have you discovered the ActiveRainPhotoBlogger group yet? I actually joined, but hesitated to submit anything to this group because my photos are about one-star compared to the fabulous five-star photos by group founder William Johnson or Mike Jones in Arizona (among others).
Reading this post today, I realized that I may not be such a great photographer, but I do write about my photos... and William says that's what photo blogging is all about.
So I'm going to edit my post about the U.S. Naval Academy Bridge to add it to this group, and I encourage you to consider adding your photo-centric posts as well. I suspect this could become my favorite group on Activerain.
I Have My Eye On You.....
In my last post I was encouraging you to join our ActiveRainPhotoBlogger group. Within that post I mentioned that taking photos and adding in the story puts the photo in context of the story. That is what photo blogging is all about.
The photo below isn't about San Diego but a place I traveled to that I wanted to share. When I went to visit Yosemite for the first time, I was overwhelmed with the gigantic majesty of the place. There is so much to see and do there especially if you love Mother Nature and want to discover her many treasures and secrets.
While out and about trying to capture the beauty there, I happened upon this black bird that seemed to be facinated with me. Guessing he figured I would feed him, he remained relentess in following me around as I set up the tripod to capture the landscaping and views of these amazing rock formations and water falls.
Never wanting to pass up an opportunity, I laid down on the ground and he came over closer on the edge of the walkway, either thinking I was going to feed him or to pluck out my eyes if I got to close, I couldn't be sure. But I knew if he would hold still long enough I would get his portrait. And the black bird ( actually a Raven) up close and personal wasn't so black after all.
