A bit of good news came out of a recent survey conducted by the National Association of Realtors. It seems that in spite of the high level of economic distress and the mess in the real estate market, most home owners as well as renters agree that owning a home is a smart decision. It makes more sense to own a home, according to 95% of owners and 72% of renters.

Some interesting differences between home owners and renters were revealed in the survey. More than half of the home owners are very or extremely satisfied with the overall quality of their family life. Of the renters, only one-third consider themselves very or extremely satisfied.
