Speechless Sunday: Leaving Las Vegas

I made my first trip to Las Vegas this week, attending a conference. I don't gamble, so I spent any free time doing two things I really like: eating (the food was fantastic) and taking in the architecture. Where else can you go from Egypt to King Arthur's Court to New York City to Paris in the matter of a few blocks?

From the airport terminal, Gate A15, I took this picture of my hotel, the Luxor (the pyramid).

Hope you enjoy your "travels" in Vegas.  It is a fun place to visit... and the food is always plentiful.

Jason, I just want to add Las Vegas is a Great Place to LIVE!  I moved there in 1989 and have loved it ever since.  Right now I am in cold, snowy Wyoming building a house for my mom and really miss Las Vegas even though Wyoming is great in a very different way.

I'm no much of a gambler, but we went to the Hoover Dam, Snow Mountain and Fire Valley and had a great time!! Love your photos!

Hi Jason... I always love the view taking off or landing in Las Vegas... especially at night.  The airport is so close to The Strip that it makes the landings very exciting!

I think the proximity of the airport to the Strip is a big plus for Las Vegas. Nice shots looking over the runways!

Jason,

These are nice clear shots. Last year when I was ther, there was snow in the same scene. :)
