Great Neighborhood AFC Championship Party !

Well that was a great matchup with the Jets and Steelers for a ticket to the Super Bowl !

In an electric second half, the Jets mounted what was seemingly an impossible comeback, and were one defensive stop away from having the ball to win the game in the final minutes...

 

... BUT !

 

Thankfully, my Steelers made the play to seal the win, and now we march on to the Super Bowl !!


At our house, we had a bunch of our neighbors over for a party to watch the game, who are split between Steelers and Jets fans !!!

 

... as, of course, are the residents of my household !!!

Fun times !!!!

Thought this would have been an easy decision of "what to write about .. the big Win!".  It was looking like a slam dunk then 2nd half no score and marching forward to take the crown ... just a little short in the moment.  I'm sure you and family have enjoyed the barbs and mischief .. just as good as the game itself.  Now for the Super Bowl which by the way is going to be played just 45 minutes from my home.  I probably will be able to hear the cheers from a far!

Shel, the Jets were playing with house money, but Rex had nobody to focus on personally for this game. Obviously the first mistake was the coin toss.

Ed ! You are definitely right ! I think the Jets had already blown all their passion on the past two games, and to be honest, I think their 'quiet demeanor' during the week, may have worked against them ! not sure, but they certainly came out super flat clearly.  And in this type of game you definitely dont want to give the momentum out of the gates to the Steelers from the coin toss !! ... so much excitement though !! I love it :o)

Still pouting.  Was a good game though.  (and I'm not even a real football fan)  I just watch the Chargers to make the Donald happy.  But in 27 days.... I'll be happy again.  There will be fast cars on Sunday.
