FIRE HAZARD!
WHITE-RODGERS THERMOSTAT RECALL
On January 12, 2011 White-Rodgers and the U.S. Consumer Public Safety Commission announced a RECALL of the following programmable thermostats with date codes beginning with 05, 06, 07, 08, 09 and 1001 through 1039:
Model number 1F88-XXX
Model number 1F85RF-275
The recall notice indicates the fire hazard is due to possible leakage of batteries which are constantly being charged by the thermostat. They also report that no one has been hurt, but they are aware of three instances of minor property damage.
