Your home did not sell because of your Fish Tank!!!!

My new fish tankI am with most of you having a fish tank can be attractive and soothing feature in the home.

There are many times I have shown  homes and it smelled fishy. Well the home was clean, decuttered and staged. However the fish tank is cloudy and muggy. I don't even know if there are live fish floating around. And the smell, it was coming from the dirty fish tank that has been ignored by the home owner. Don't justify saying you forgot about them because you forgot about them because you were too busy getting home ready for selling or they forgot completely about poor fishes.

Whatever is your excuse, your nostrils may be use to the molding smell that comes out of your fish tank but the buyers will notice.

Not everyone will realize the smell is coming from the fish tank. You may lose your chance of selling your Virginia home to perfectly qualified buyers. Take care of your pets even if the creature is inside the box.

Just any other pets if needed move them to a friends or family home where they will be cared and loved OR clean that tank!

Nice post, Ritu! It reminds me of the time I showed a house and when we walked into one of the bedrooms there was a giant snake curled up in a very large aquarium. My clients turned around and ran out of the house! In fact, I should probably write a blog about that experience...

Nothing worse than walking into a home with an odor. I hope the tank wasn't built in because just the upkeep on those might turn many people off as well.

Ritu, this could be a deal killer, even IF the tank does not stay.     This tank cannot be overlooked!   Great reminder!
