Having been in the mortgage industry for 14 years I have seen a lot of lows and highs. The business and industry continues to provide challenges, suprises, and opportunities. 2010 for me was a great year - Production was good but what made it even better was landing at Fairway Independent Mortgage. The platform, the support and the service here is incredible. I have never been as confident as I am now - in the level of service and product that I can offer a consumer. We truly have a great thing going here at Fairway.
With that said - I am looking to expand my network of Realtors, Financial Planners, and other referring partners. Being that Active Rain is a huge network of Realtors - I figure I would ask the question - What is the best route to approach you as a Realtor to be taken seriously for a 30 min meeting over coffee or at your office? Like us in the mortgage industry - you are approached continually by people wanting to work with you. Most of these people have no clue as to what they are doing, are not interested in long term business relationships, and will be out of the business after April 1st when the new compensation plan changes roll out in our industry. We are forever bombarded with title companies, account execs for lenders, and the big one - credit repair companies. I typically find myself blowing these people off which got me to thinking about this question. I figured why not throw it out to my fellow AR's and see what their thoughts are!
2011 is going to be a great year! I am looking for top producers to be a part of the ride!
Thanks in advance for your interest, input, advice or referrals! :-)
