Do You Offer A Discount?

I have gotten asked this question many times over my 10+ years as a Real Estate Virtual Assistant. Luckily, I have also logged some time as a real estate agent here in North San Diego County...so I have the perfect answer ready...aim....FIRE!!! (you agents will be so proud of me...unless of course you are the ones asking me this question...)

dice with question marksDear John:

Discount?  Sure...which of the hours that I work for you would you like me to use less of my brain, do a poor job, achieve less results to generate less leads and ultimately less income for your business?  John, seriously, do you offer a discount to your buyers or sellers? Would you discount your level of service to them? No of course not.

I do not offer a discounted rate to clients based on quantity of hours reserved.  What I do instead, is for my clients that purchase either of my two biggest retainer packages, I add in other free benefits / services that are not available on the smaller packages.  All my clients receive the same, high level of service when they choose me as their Real Estate Virtual Assistant. Thank you for your interest.

When asked if I offer a discount - I just ask them how many hours they want me to work for them. When they give me that number - then I tell them that my fee per hour is $125 per hour and

" Sounds like I already gave you a discount"

Christine, this is a great answer.  Robert's answer isn't bad either.  I just don't get into that whole discount thing, if I don't have to.  Nobody asks their doctor to take less.

Robert - LOL...that works too :-)  Thanks for your comment.

Jean - Thanks...that's the beauty of it...you work for yourself...you don't "HAVE" to get into it ;-)  Thanks for stopping by...

Hi Christine, I found this part quite amusing....I will have to remember it.  Sure...which of the hours that I work for you would you like me to use less of my brain... I think next time I'm asked if I give a discount, I will have to include that in my response:-)

Laura...it's a little snarky...but sometimes...it just slips out ;-)  Thank you for reading!
