I haven't seen much posted about the area where I practice, so I thought I would send a shout out to the extreme South Jersey area.
I feel as if I have been on a roller coaster ride for 2006. I got into the business when agents on the island were busy preparing for another jam packed spring. They were getting ready for the buyers to come back and the offers to come in. But, like most areas across the country, things didn't go as planned and sellers began to panic. The summer came and went with little activity and agents and owners were left with only a hope that things would get better. I feel as if now more than ever real estate agents should be the light at the end of the tunnel. Instead of focusing on the negative, use this time to get back to the basics and work on building relationships with your customers. Gone are the days when you can promise a customer a certain dollar amount back on their investment. Be honest and use facts to help gain trust. I refuse to throw in the towel and call it a day. I come to work and stay positive knowing that at some point the buyers will realize that there are bargains around. My hope: when the buyers come back they will call up the agents who too believe that you reap what you sow.
