Wordless Wednesday - Measure Twice, Cut Once

By

This goes out to any of you who might be particularly fond of ‘the eyeball it method’:

DSCF4203

I can picture the scene. The careful measuring and planning for the first section, each cut done with care and diligence.

It’s perfect!

Okay, I’ve got this. Let’s speed things up a bit. ...

hmmm. Well, we'll fix it on the next board and fill that spot with paint.

And it’s all downhill from there.

As Rex (the awesome stepdad) would say - “Measure twice and cut once or you’ll waste my wood and it’s expensive!”. I guess he knew a few things after all…

Just remember the old adage - Measure Twice, Cut ONCE.

Robert - that is SO true.  Luckily its rarely my thumbs that get me into trouble but my inate ability to 'bloat' an innocent little project into a week long ordeal.  I've learned to mutter the "K.I.S.S" motto on repeat to keep me on track!

Carla - glad to amuse you!

Mike - I guess the adage has lasted for a reason.

Katie - Thanks!
