I was on a listing appointment this morning, and of course the question, "How's the market?" is a part of the conversation. To my Seller, I replied, it's all about price. Price it right and it will sell. That, along with my market knowledge got me that listing.
But that's not the purpose of this post. Are Buyers Really Buying Real Estate? Ahhh..Let Me Tell You that if it's priced right it will sell. Not only will it sell, the words I wondered if I would hear again came over the phone TWICE today...
"We have multiple offers in on the property. Highest and Best offer is due by (insert time) today."
I just got a new Buyer yesterday who found a home, called me and wanted to make an offer. (Actually, his mortgage person called me first, to tell me he was approved) As soon as I looked at the price and the property, I had a funny feeling. And sure enough, the call got me the response above.
I'm not sure how much of this is going on in my market place, or yours.
But it's priced right, it will sell. Buyers ARE buying real estate.
Thom, You make a great point and I'd have to agree. I am a home and commercial inspector in the Atlanta area and I've been seeing an increase in sales across the board. The buyers know it is a buyer's market and they are looking for market pricing.
