The name of this cove changes depending on who you are talking too. Some of the old timer’s still call it Barbara’s Cove because Barbara loved to fish this cove. Most of us call it Carter Cove because the Carter’s live up on a bluff that overlooks the cove.
You can be parked at the sand bar and they may hollar down at you -- come on up!!
The cove is located west of Thomas Lake and the homes that front Carter Cove are located in Carolina Cove, Greenrich Shores and Sterling Island.
Carolina Cove is a homes only subdivision. No mobile homes are allowed. The subdivision has two boat launches (one of which is pictured above). The main boat launch is located on Lakeshore on the east side of Thomas Lake Road.
Nestled in the middle of Carolina Cove is Cove Marina which is a small marina and campground. They are family friendly and always have a pot of coffee on. Besides bait, you can pick up a map of Lake Livingston, groceries, or treat the kids to an ice cream. Cove Marina is the local one stop shop!
