Understanding Diversity in Real Estate

By
Real Estate Agent with Liberty Homes RS-#62825

Diversity can be defined as being different. I grew up on Oahu (Honolulu County) Hawaii I learned the importance of understanding diversity of all races,  ethnicities and cultures. We learned to live together on such a small island and I found that opening my mind to the possibilities would increase my knowledge of all the different backgrounds.

An open mind creates room for growth.

In  business we have a diverse workforce no matter which company we work for or what kind of business we are doing. That's just the nature of the business.

We have a conglomeration of people with all genders, ages, ethnic and racially diverse backgrounds in the real estate industry.

We open our minds to new relationships and support the theory that by doing so we open ourselves up to the possibility of retaining those contacts for future productivity.

The beauty of real estate.

We are a diverse culture in the world of business.

Learn, understand and grow.

This is a beautiful post. I can only hope that one day all people will truly enjoy the rich life found in sharing cultures.  This planet is very small. Holding tightly to resources, myopically seeing only one way of doing things, fearfully closing your mind and refusing to grow are all weaknesses hidden behind intolerance.

Thank you for sharing.

John: And the purpose of this post!  There is so much to adding richness to ones life and real estate is just that. If one does not understand the concept then one does not understand real estate :) :)

It's not a game, it's your life.

Sally, that is a great comment that you added.  Even the code of ethics states that to be the case.

Sally, one of the things I love about living in Washington is the wonderful mix of people who live here.  Oh, and the architectural diversity is great, too.

Diversity enriches all who experience it.  Good post, Sally.

Having grown up in small PA town I did not experience diversity until I went to college & later in the work force.  Traveling has introduced me to many wonderful people from all over the world including Nepal.

What an inspring post, Sally! Sometimes in my e-mail signature, I add "promote diversity" and people are always asking me what that means.  :=)
